Hi Donna: Sorry to hear of your struggles, but I admire your determination. I can't really speak to the specifics of your situation because I don't know them, but all I can say is that you need to fight for what you believe is best for your daughter. In many ways School Districts operate like a business when it comes to this: they figure out how long they will fight you and then, once it crosses that point the costs of fighting you are more than the costs of providing the services you feel are the least restrictive and most beneficial. As with most things, however, money beats morality -- those who can't afford to fight for their rights (or the rights of their children) rarely get to enjoy those rights. I am, unfortunately, dealing with this issue in another way related to my two sons (related to the reasons why they are no longer living in the Saugus District).
