can t the season My favorite scene was one between Hunter and a reporter where she holds her own and shows her baseball knowledge And that baseball understanding was a highlight for me as the romance was secondary Sadly I didn t feel a romantic connection no real AWWW moment Some things seemed forced and in a way unnecessary just added in not really moving the story along or filling in any holes for meThis book felt like a bridge to me from Book 1 to Book 2 I hope that is the case as Bryce really intrigues me as a character I would also like to see of Johnny and Alice I received this book from the Japanese Etiquette publisher via NetGalley for my honest review Fans of sports themed romances will find this a uick and easy read albeit a bit cookie cutter With issues we ve seen before though it s the likable main characters that keep the story engaging as the hero and heroine are both strong willed and trying to be the best they can be with the odds stacked against themHunter grew up with a childhood that was uirky and might have left some heroines scarred She used it to her advantage though and slowly made her way to managing a baseball team Being a woman in a man s world she s had to be better than other men which has her being a walking encyclopedia of baseball I admired her using her knowledge tout snotty reporters and others in of baseball I admired her using her knowledge to The Cowboy and His Baby put snotty reporters and others inlace and the use of baseball in general was nicely incorporated into the storyline Hunter was very down to earth though she hobnobbed with the elite which was refreshing as she wanted to be known for who she was not who she was with She tends to be a tomboy but being around her newly signed star layer Marco has her thinking very girly and naughty thoughts that she fights every step of the way as she doesn t want to jeopardize her career Her connection to Marco is full of sexual tension but not much time is spent advancing their romance beyond this basic foundation which would ve ma. More Than A Game #2 A ballplayer and a team owner would give anything for a championship even their hearts After inheriting majority ownership of the San Francisco Goliaths baseball team Hunter Collins wants to rove to herself and the rest of the league that she's got what it takes to build a champion Her first De the story sizzleMarco had a difficult childhood with baggage that still #Lingers He Wants To Be The Best # He wants to be the best I felt he was often just going THROUGH THE MOTIONS UNTIL THE END the motions until the end he truly stepped up to the late I enjoyed Marco with his slightly naughty ways but was hoping for a deeper connection between him and Hunter The barrier of boss and employee always seemed to be in the way to a certain extent That s not to say that Marco wasn t romantic though as he made Hunter feel like a woman he was able to look Reign of Ash (The Chosen past her role as boss to claim her in some very sensual scenesNot having read the first book in the More Than a Game series I was worried that my enjoyment of this would be diminished but this story stands nicely on its own With likable characters and sports scenes that are seamlessly woven into the story this was an engaging read with some smile inducing moments Though the romance wasn t as deep as I d hoped it was still a satisfying HEA that has me wanting to return to this world as there slenty of Bred by the Beastmen (Bred by the Beastmen players who caught my eye with stories left to tell To read this review and others like it check out my site at wwwhomelovebookscomAsreviously mentioned I have an undying love of baseball And for some reason I have been Fline en Lingerie picking up every romance book with even the mention of baseball lately Well to be honest I ve beenicking up every book with any kind of sport in it or at least that s how it seems As for this one I liked it it was Surface pretty goodFirst things first the baseball I think the baseball was doneretty well in this book I think the inner olitics of the sport were well done as well as the dynamics of what goes on behind the scenes to make a baseball team actually function I wouldn t have thought to write a book about a female owner but it s a nice concept and you have to admit when it comes to baseball there aren t a lot of women involved so this was a nice chance Although at the end I was a little bit bummed at how uickly Hunter was willing to sacrifice herself you ll see what I mean when you read the bookSo Hunter is a retty good character I liked the whole woman owning a team and being the managing artner it s nice to see women in strong roles I also liked that even though she is wealthy she s simple she is comfortable in simple clothing and nothing about her is over the top Hunter did have some jealous tendencies which is normally something that is annoying to me but Marco is a ro athlete who has women throwing themselves at him so I understood the jealousy The Scot plus she never throws it in his face or makes it a big issue or anything I also really liked the inner turmoil she had about the relationship she was in the team versus her happiness It definitely heightened the dramaMarco I liked a lot I liked that he wasn t aerfect athlete he didn t step out onto the field and command it He had to work hard at getting into the sw. Ove is to trade for a hot left fielder He's got it all speed Spring Snow power and a desire to win Not to mention undeniable charm Marco Santiago is tired of being the newlayer in town After four teams in six years he's facing free agency at the end of the season He wants nothing than a long term contract and a World Series.you can t

Marco Santiago I want of his blue eyes and his hot body and I wasSantiago I want of his blue eyes and his hot body and I was now The chemistry between Hunter and Marco is instant and the author does a great job of ortraying that to reader Right away you know that Marco is just lain sexy and I can feel Hunter s attraction to him which makes for one hot and sexy book I also really enjoyed Hunter Collins she didn t annoy me too much although she kind of fits into that clich of what lead female character being very inexperienced sexually versus the male lead I love how much she loves the Goliaths and the lengths she goes to to make this team her family She definitely had a great character development as the story moves along and she is an easy character to relate to and ultimately be one hundred ercent on her side Not So MuchI truly enjoyed reading this book and the writing was a huge improvement from the first book There were such great details of Hunter s home Marco s apartment the club house the stadium everything It really added a layer to lot that made me into the story There were times the transition from one scene to the plot that made me into the story There were times the transition from one scene to the didn t go very smoothly in one aragraph they would be outside and in the next they would be Hunter s apartment Sometimes the story got a little a boring and I found myself skipping some sentences to get to the The Perfect Weapon point.
