This final book in Sarah Mallory S SERIES ABOUT THE INFAMOUS ARRANDALES series about the Infamous Arrandales on the eldest of the siblings Wolfgang who we learned back in The Chaperon s Seduction had been accused of murdering his wife and stealing a fortune in jewels some ten years previously and is living in exile on the Continent In his absence his younger brother Richard has struggled to maintain the family home and lands but even though it s made his life difficult he has never made moves to have Wolf declared dead or lost his belief in his brother s innocenceAfter ten years abroad Wolf has returned to England following the discovery that he has a daughter and is determined to clear his name When his wife died she was pregnant but Wolf was hustled away so uickly at the insistence of his family that he never realised that although his wife eventually died their child did notAs he is still wanted for theft and murder Wolf travels under an assumed name and arrives back in Arrandale calling himself Mr Peregrine He seeks aid from the local vicar who insists that Wolf stay at the vicarage while he determines his course of action But when Grace Dunscombe learns that her father has taken in yet another stray she is immediately on her uard The tall darkly handsome Mr Peregrine with his disheveled hair and rumpled travel stained clothing looks like he s up to no Michaels Discovery (The Devaneys good and Grace hates the idea of her father s being taken in by some ruffian who is clearly taking advantage of hisood natureWolf immediately senses Grace s animosity and tries to reassure her that he is no threat to her or her father but for all his charm Grace continues to treat him with thinly veiled hostility She has no idea of his true identity of course she was away at school when he fled the country and now Wolf and the vicar believe that the fewer people who know Mr Peregrine s true identity the safer it will be all round But still Grace can t help thinking it curious that the servants are bending over backwards to make their unwelcome uest welcomeWolf begins his uest to prove his innocence by returning to the scene of the crime Arrandale Hall to see if he can locate any of the old servants who may have been there that night At the time Wolf had been so distraught on discovering the blood covered body of his wife that he was unable to take NOTE OF MUCH GOING ON AROUND of much oing on around all he does remember is that his father seemed in no doubt of Wolf s Life Changing Smiles guilt and urged him to leave the country before he could be arrested Yet he learns now that it was actually his cousin Charles Urmston who had put the idea into his father s head suggesting that it would be better for Wolf to be out of harm s way until they could find out what really happened But when the famous Sawston diamonds were discovered missing after Wolf s flight that put the seal on the belief of hisuiltWhile the mystery element of the plot is fairly predictable it s nonetheless enjoyable and the romance between Wolf and the prickly Grace is well realised Much of Grace s initial hostility stems from the strong pull of attraction she feels towards Wolf something she strives to ignore not only because she is betrothed to the local magistrate but because she still carries in her heart the memory of her first love who died before they could be married Not wanting to face the prospect of such shatt. I have come back to prove my innocence if I canTen years ago Wolfgang Arrandale was discovered standing over the body of his wife Forced to run he has lived as a fugitive ever. The Outcast's RedemptionTation proves inevitable but with so much stacked against them does Grace and Wolfgang s love stand a chance of triumphing against all the obstacles standing in their wayWhen Wolfgang had returned to England the last thing he had expected was to fall head over heels in love Grace had awakened feeling deep within him which he had thought long buried but after all the heartache and anguish he had been through is he ready to put his heart on the line again Or will he let this second chance at happiness slip through his fingersSarah Mallory s name is synonymous with High Uality Historical Romantic uality historical romantic and in The Outcast s Redemption she has outdone herself ONCE AGAIN WITH A SPELLBINDING TALE OF SECOND CHANCES again with a spellbinding tale of second chances learning to trust again and the power of love that I found absolutely impossible to put down Deftly intertwining danger desire intrigue and adventure into a compelling historical romance that I didn t want to end in The Outcast s Redemption Sarah Mallory once again cements her standing as one of the Innocent Sins (Harlequin Presents, genre s finest and most talented writersI absolutely adored Grace who despite her sheltered life was a strong resourceful and resilient heroine readers cannot help but cheer for and damaged and flawed Wolfgang was a wonderful multi faceted hero who is than a match for Mr Darcy and Ross PoldarkVivid spellbinding and absolutely impossible to resist The Outcast s Redemption is another triumph for the fantastic Sarah Mallory The man falsely accused of killing his pregnant wife and stealing precious jewels flees away to safety but returns later to prove his innocence and be with his daughter Heets some help from vicars daughter among others who aids him in finding real murderer A joyful reunion of family and the lovers brings an end to the story I loved this book I like a story that concentrates on a ood plot without resorting loved this book I like a story that concentrates on a ood plot without resorting pages of sexual drivel and this fits the bill A shame the author spoilt this at the very end with a sex scene but at least it was not explicit The plot had plenty Copper Lake Secrets going for it and kept me interested You know who the villain was with the plot focusing on how Wolfgang was to prove his innocenceAood read which I can recommend I forgot how satisfying a ood Harleuin romance could be Although they re relatively short the best ones always manage perfect pacing packing just as much plot and character development into their pages as a longer book and this racy Regency was a shining example The efficient yet sensuous use of prose and the twists and turns of the plot kept me turning the pages right until the end and a ood helping of dialogue helped me feel I was etting to know the charactersGrace was an identifiable heroine desperately trying to balance her duty as a buttoned up vicar s daughter and fiancee to a Justice of the Peace with her visceral desire for the smoldering hero or on occasion anti hero scintillating outcast WolfI really enjoyed this read and I certainly won t leave it too long before picking up another Harleuin Regency I know this is one of a series although it works perfectly as a standalone read and I m curious to find out the stories behind some of the other infamous Arrandales who make cameo appearances in Wolf and Grace s story occasional moments where it stretched my suspension of disbelief but overall an interesting read. Ering loss again she wants a safe uiet life which is exactly what she will have which is exactly what she will have she marries her fianc Yet there s something about Wolfgang Arrandale that stirs her in a way she s never experienced and the intensity of it frightens her So when Wolf announces he is leaving Arrandale for London Grace should be delighted and would be were it not for the fact that she has just made arrangements to travel there herself in order to avoid him and now she can t back out The story moves to London as Wolf continues to seek information to help his Cause But A Sudden And Potentially Life Threatening Setback Means but a sudden and potentially life threatening setback means Grace must risk than her heart in order to keep him safeThe Outcast s Redemption is a simple but well told story and I enjoyed it The identity of the villain is obvious but this isn t really a whodunit so much as it is a whydunnit howdunnit and what do we do now dunnit so that isn t a problem and the mystery is decently wrought More importantly Wolf and Grace are engaging well rounded characters who act and think like adults and the chemistry between them leads to some deliciously sensual moments I do however take issue with the placement of the book s single sex scene right at the end it s as though Ms Mallory felt she had to throw one in somewhere and it was the only place to put it In that she was partly right it wouldn t have worked elsewhere either To be honest I d have been uite happy had it not been in there at all the story is complete without itThat fact aside the novel is well written and conceived and although it s the last in a series it works perfectly well as a standalone Anyone looking for a uick emotionally satisfying read with a dash of mystery could do a lot worse than pick this one up Multi award winning author Sarah Mallory brings her dazzling Arrandale family uartet to a stunning conclusion with The Outcast s Redemption a mesmerizing tale of redemption healing and dangerous secrets that will hold readers spellboundIt was the scandal that had rocked society ten years ago Wolfgang Arrandale had been found standing over the body of his dead wife With blood on his hands and a price hanging over his head Wolfgang had had no choice but to leave everything he knows and loves behind and hide out no choice but to leave everything he knows and loves behind and hide out France Wolfgang has spent the last ten years lying low and constantly looking over his shoulder but when news reaches him that he has a daughter he is determined to reclaim his life and to clear his name so he oes back home to England and to the village of Arrandale where he hopes to uncover the secrets of what really happened that fateful night But little does Wolfgang realise that his dangerous mission is Plain Jane The Hotshot going to propel him straight into the path of parson s daughter Grace Duncombe who is immediately intrigued by the wild stranger who turned up on her father s doorstep seeking shelterGrace Duncombe cannot help but be suspicious of the man who is now living in her house Despite her father s assurances Grace can tell that the man living under her father s roof is not all that he seems Determined to uncover the secrets he is hiding and to ensure that her father has not invited danger into their home Grace finds herselfrowing closer and closer to him However suspicion and curiosity uickly ive way to an attraction that simply cannot be denied Succumbing to temp. Since doing anything to survive But now the revelation that he's a father compels him to prove his innocence Parson's daughter Grace Duncombe is intrigued by the wild strange.
